Hey mom!


hey mom this week went by really fast, two of the elders that i was living with went home, it was crazy seeing them flip out because they´re going home. and today was change day yet again and i got a new companion, his name is elder Fabian from El Salvador, he is a good missionary and i already know who he is, he was my zone leader in coban. i´m happy to be with him as his companion it´ll be a good experience even though he is going home in the middle of august. well anyway as for the work, the couple that went to church last week only the man went to church this week because the wife couldn´t go, and when we went by to visit on sunday she was super sorry that she couldn´t go to church, i seriously have the feeling that they are both going to be able to get baptized by the end of this month. we did however find out that they aren´t married so we just have to talk to a lawyer and get them married because they already have their paperwork all done. so it´ll just be a matter of teaching the wife all the lessons and get them prepared the rest of the way so they can finally get baptized. its touched me to be able to see how much the faith of a man and help him get over his 50 year addiction to smoking and with time show enough that his wife has the desire to change and go to the same church with him. its really been great, we got a good reference this week and we´ll be able to get a good new investigator from that.

the schumaker´s house sounds somewhat like a guatemalan house, whenever something happen there is always food, and especially when the missionaries show up they always give food, even if it means that they end up with hunger. its incredible to see how humble and giving the people are here.

well i have news, its official my release date is now the 30th which means that you guys cant come down here til the 29th so president told me that you will have to change your flights for the 29th and if you do that i want you to change the return flights for one day later oct 7th but if you cant change your flight plans dont worry about it i will try to figure something out. let me know what happens the area presidency got together and decided this so president didn´t have anything to do with it.

well everything is well, thank you for everything i hope you had a good fourth of july we celebrated in our own little way and sang the national anthem. the hispanics got annoyed and told us to shut up, i cant help that we are proud of our country. ha ha well i know this church is true and the joy and happiness that we feel through this gospel changes our lives forever. i love you
