hey mom,
all is going well for me down here, this week was just getting caught up with my companion, because its been since january that we have really talked and i basically showed him the area getting used to everything, he has been quite lost because he just came to be with me for a little bit and go home so it was a pretty good week, we found five new investigators this week and we officially have two investigators with a baptismal date, i feel really good about this transfer cycle. we have been working with the members and i feel like we will have more success as we rely more so on the members to help us find new people to teach and of course that will happen when they see that we have worked by ourselves to find new ones, and this week we found five but none of those went to church, thats the toughest part of this work, getting people to church, especially if we find them, they always say they have things to do. on saturday we had a baptism, it went really well, the family made refreshments it was absolutely amazing thats my favorite part of baptism, its a big occasion so they always have food. but then again there are poor people that get baptized and cant do anything, my heart really goes out to that kind of people who want to do something but realize they dont have the funds, its humbling sometimes they give even when they dont have. our very first day working with my new companion the members committed to helping us out and giving us references, we already got like three. So I´m the senior zone leader, and its been very wierd, my comp has already been zl before, but i know this zone better than him so thats why i´m senior which doesnt matter because we are the same. its just been really weird taking the final decision, and leading the meetings that we have with President Torres, its definately been a time of growth in my leadership, its scary at first but after a little its normal, i love things that we go through that make us grow more than what we normailly would doing normal things.
Wow i cant believe scarlett is already 5, its crazy how old the neices and nephews are now. wow it sounds pretty hot 90, here its probably 80´s this week however was pretty hot and dry it only rained like twice. this month will be the rest of the rainy season at least that what they say
well thats about everything i love you, thank you for everything you do i hope goes well this week for all, i pray for you always, the church is true and so is the book of mormon
Love,
Elder Spencer Karr
